Each member of our leadership team is committed to building relationships with clients, families, and caregivers—everyone involved in the care of your loved one. That’s why our entire team knows the details of every client’s care. You have 24-hour support and access to a staff member who can answer questions and promptly handle any issues you may have.
Carrie first learned of Senior Home Companions through Senior Home Companions president, David Morgan. She fondly remembers seeing caregivers bringing David’s grandfather to their family business so he could still be a part of the company, despite his deteriorating health.
Joining Senior Home Companions in 2013 and after years of managing a home health company in Indiana, Carrie was all too familiar with the physical and emotional toll that the aging process takes on both the individual and those who love and care for them. Her goal through Senior Home Companions is to raise awareness that compassionate individuals are available when everyday life gets just beyond reach for our aging population. Carrie relocated to Florida in 2015 to oversee the 5 branches serving 9 counties and is proud of the near 20 year history of enhancing the lives of our seniors by connecting them with exceptional care.
Carrie Cermak, Administrator
Sarasota, Lee & Charlotte Counties
Carrie moved to Sarasota from Crown Point, Indiana in 1996 and began working for Senior Home Companions in 1997 as Administrative Assistant. During her nearly 20 year tenure, Carrie has assisted with the expansion of Senior Home Companions throughout Florida, which includes 5 locations covering 12 counties. She currently serves as Sarasota County Administrator/Branch Manager. Carrie’s compassion and concern for the elderly shows in her commitment to helping Florida’s seniors stay active and independent in their own homes. Carrie strongly believes in Senior Home Companion’s Values: Integrity, doing what is right; Compassion, connecting and empathizing consistently; and Effectiveness, going the extra miles.
Denice Napoleon, Client Care Coordinator
Lee & Charlotte Counties
Denice has been in the business of nursing and providing care for others in need since 1983 in the hospital setting, nursing homes, assisted living facilities and owning and operating her own Adult Family Care Home. Denice’s 10+ year history with certifications in Risk Management and as a certified Senior Advisor has given her the experience to better understand and communicate with seniors in need. Denice lives in Cape Coral with her husband Jacques, has 2 children and loves spending time with her 3 grandchildren. Denice enjoys spending her free time ministering through her church and serves as an Elder & Host where she continues to bring people together from all walks of life.
Gloria Jacobs, Administrator
Palm Beach County
Gloria entered the business world later in life after years of providing care as a Home Health Aide. In 1998, Gloria began serving clients in Palm Beach County through Senior Home Companions. Since then, Gloria has experience great satisfaction in the number of clients she has been able to assist and the lasting relationships that senior caregivers in Palm Beach County have made with clients over nearly 20 years. Gloria is a Board Member for the Palm Beach Guardianship Association, Member of the Southeast Health Advocacy, Inter Agency Network, Strategic Business Institute, and Soroptimist International & “Women of the Year” Nominee for business.
Mary Hotopp, Administrator
Sumter, Marion & Lake Counties
Mary retired to The Villages from Indiana in 2000 after as a Municipal Court Judge, attorney and radio station owner/manager. Her childhood friend, and Senior Home Companions, Inc. founder/president Judy Cuppy, soon convinced Mary of the tremendous need for caregiving services in this tri-county area. Since 2009, Mary and her team have been serving clients in Sumter, Marion & Lake Counties by introducing clients to active seniors who not only provide excellence in care, but develop lasting friendships.
Pam Taylor, Office Coordinator
Sumter, Marion & Lake Counties
Pam joined Mary and The Villages team after relocating from Indiana in 2015. As a CPA, Pam is able to use her strengths and gifts in the management of daily office operations. Pam also assists with the coordination and introductions between clients and caregivers. This aspect has truly blessed Pam with the interactions and connections she has personally made with so many seniors within her community.
