Aging in the Right Place

Getting into that senior living space again, how do we make sure that as we are growing and aging, we are aging in a way where we can live our best lives? You know, my least favorite term out there right now is 'aging in place.' Yeah, but my absolute favorite term is 'aging in the right place.'

I love that!

And I know it's only adding one word, but it's such an important thing. When we age in place, that place may not necessarily be the right place for you.

So we've got to make sure that that's what we've got to do: have that right place to age. Sometimes it's not necessarily the geographic location; it's the social connection.

We need to reduce that loneliness factor that can create issues like psychosis and increase the onset of dementia in a much deeper way. We must focus on both physical and mental well-being that we’ve got to continue to really gravitate toward.
