April Caregiver Ambassador of the Month: Gloria Heck
Senior Home Companions is proud to announce caregiver Gloria Heck as our Caregiver Ambassador of the Month for April 2021. She was nominated by Emily Middlesworth, the Administrative Care Manager at our Indiana office. Gloria embodies our company’s values with her extreme compassion for each client and family she comes into contact with.
“Gloria is an absolute angel,” said Emily. “She is very committed and dedicated to our clients. She is always adaptable and willing to help out no matter how far. And she is great with hospice clients and is great at comforting families during their loved one's transition.” We are honored to work with such exceptional staff members like Gloria who provide incredibly personalized care to families in their times of great need.
Caregiver Gloria Heck donates to Neighborlink
Gloria was so happy when she learned of her Caregiver Ambassador of the Month selection, and gave all praise to God, saying “God is so good!” As part of our new strategic partnership and caregiver engagement strategies for 2021, we are making a donation in the name of each Caregiver Ambassador of the Month to their choice of four local community organizations. Gloria chose to have a donation made in her name to Neighborlink Indianapolis. Their organization provides home repairs to low-income seniors and individuals with disabilities who own their own homes to allow them to age in place safely and with dignity, a mission similar to ours here at Senior Home Companions.
Gloria Goes Above and Beyond for Clients
We thank Gloria for going above and beyond every day, and serving as not just a consistent caregiver but also as a surrogate family member to many of our clients without family nearby. In a recent situation where a client would be left without care since he had no family in town, she chose to work a 24-hour shift rather than allow him to be left alone. “Gloria’s main priority is the client,” said Emily. “She exceeds the expectations of all clients she is with and is a pleasure to work with.”
