Our Top Caregiver Companions of 2020
At Senior Home Companions, our caregivers are the backbone of our relationship-based organization. To date, our caregiver companions have served more than 3,000 families with exceptional, personalized and consistent care that allows our older adult clients to maintain active and engaged lives. We are proud to offer our staff members consistent support and ongoing education, resulting in a 90% retention rate, which far surpasses the industry average.
As we kick off our 27th year in business, we are excited to again honor our top caregivers of each month in 2020. “These caregivers set the bar incredibly high, and we sincerely thank each for their dedicated service to our clients,” said Nicole Bieker, HR manager. “They all have given a new meaning to the term we’ve heard so much about this past year: essential workers.”

Caregiver of the Year
In addition to our 12 caregivers of the year, one individual was named as our caregiver of the year for 2020: Alicia Reese (pictured above). “Day in and day out she delivers exceptional, personalized and consistent care to her clients,” said Nicole. “We’re so proud to have her on our team." Alicia has been working as an SHC caregiver since October 2019, and she shared that she loves working at Senior Home Companions for the care they show both employees and client families.
“I’m so blessed and honored to be a part of Senior Home Companions,” said Alicia. “I couldn’t have picked a more compassionate, caring and faith-based organization to be a part of. We all look for attributes in someone. I look for attributes in the place I work for and the number one attribute Senior Home Companions possesses is the tenacity they display when caring. I’m very proud to be a part of Senior Home Companions."
