A Variety of Tasks and Flexible Hours
As a companion caregiver with Senior Home Companions, every day can be different. You’ll enjoy spending time with clients and their families and supporting their needs to remain independent at home. Examples of day-to-day care can include basic household upkeep, encouraging exercise and social engagements, organizing paperwork, meal preparation, grooming assistance and more. Plus, our client support can range from a few hours a week to 24/7 care, which means that you can work the best hours that fit into your schedule too.
Ongoing Support and Education
Many of our companion caregivers are retired from successful careers and seeking out meaningful opportunities for service. And with our consistent caregiver training and team support, our staff tend to stick around! More than half of our caregivers have been with us for three years and some for more than two decades. Our 90% retention rate far surpasses the 65% industry average and provides our clients with consistent care and personalized service as they age in place.
Matching Caregivers & Clients
One of the best benefits of working with Senior Home Companions is our unique caregiver matching process. We conduct extensive interviews with clients and caregivers that assess personalities, hobbies and priorities to find the best fit for both parties. We know that in-home care is made exceptional with a deep-rooted relationship between clients, families and their companion caregivers, so we do our best to ensure that that relationship is built on mutual trust.
Bonuses for Companion Caregivers
At Senior Home Companions of Central Indiana and Story Cottage (Indianapolis and Carmel) new companion caregivers can receive a bonus of $100 after 30 days of work, $150 after 60 days and $250 after 90 days of work. Note that caregivers must work 32+ hours per week for 90 days, and cannot have any unexcused call-offs or disciplinary action. Also at Story Cottage and Senior Home Companions of Central Indiana, current caregivers can receive a $500 referral bonus, with $250 to the caregiver referring and the caregiver hired. Caregivers must maintain 32+ hours per week for 4 weeks (30 days) and cannot have any unexcused call-offs or disciplinary action to be eligible for payout.
In Lafayette, our Angels Senior Home Solutions staff are also eligible for bonuses. New companion caregivers can receive a bonus of $120 after 30 days of work, $125 after 60 days and $125 after 90 days of work. These staff members must work at least 25 hours per week for 90 days and can't have any unexcused call-offs or disciplinary action during that period. For a referral bonus of $500 ($250 to the caregiver referring and the caregiver hired), caregivers must maintain 31+ hours per week for 4 weeks (30 days) and not have any unexcused call-offs or disciplinary action. These bonus offers at all Indiana locations are valid through July 4, 2021.
