Take Some Time for Yourself

Respite care is a service provided by Senior Home Companions that supports family caregivers by providing a break for an afternoon appointment or a multi-day or week long vacation.

According to AgingInPlace, in the past five years, over 40 million family caregivers provided 37 billion hours of care for loved ones. And half of adult caregivers say it’s moderately or very difficult to balance work and caregiving

Does your family have a respite care plan in place? Senior Home Companions is proud to facilitate friendly and compassionate respite care for families in Southwest Florida and Central Indiana, whether planned, emergency or temporary.

Taking time for yourself is important, especially when you are the dedicated primary caregiver for a sick, aging or disabled loved one. Respite care gives you a break from the hands-on responsibilities of caring for a loved one.
