SHC Loves SpringHill Summer Day Camps!

With activities such as rock climbing, canoeing, and zip-lining what’s not to love? We think a week at camp is a great way for kids to develop vital life skills, so we reached out to our caregivers and sent a group of SHC kids to the Spring Hill camp of their choice. All reported extraordinary experiences!

One camper, Abigail Brooks, wrote an excellent thank you letter stating that she was impressed by how, “welcoming and sweet everyone was,” highlighted overcoming her fear of heights in order to do the zip-line, and reflected on all of her, “new best friends.”

Spring Hill offers faith-based, overnight camp experiences in Michigan and Indiana, as well as day camps at 100’s of locations, for individuals, families, and groups. This was the first year SHC has sponsored campers, but with this initial success we look forward to sending SHC kids to camp in the summers to come!  If you have questions, want to nominate a camper for next year, or want to know how you can help send a SHC youth to camp, reach out to Amanda Aird at the SHC Office.
